Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive into Cairo

Welcome to your World Wide Holidays tour of Egypt the Land of the Pharaohs! On arrival in Cairo our local representative will meet you outside the baggage hall and escort you to your hotel. Check in into your hotel (check in after 1400 hours). (Dinner)

Day 2

On To Aswan * City Tour of Aswan* Felucca Ride * Board The Nile Cruise and Sail to Kom Ombo

    Early morning, proceed to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan.  Upon arrival in Aswan, proceed on a guided city tour of Aswan visiting the High Dam - one of the outstanding architectural achievements of the twentieth century. We then visit the temple of Philae dedicated to Goddess Isis, the unfinished Obelisk, the Agha Khan Mausoleum and the Nilometer. One of the most fascinating experiences is the Felucca ride on the River Nile, specially arranged by World Wide Holidyas.  Later transfer to your cruise liner for an Idyllic 3 - nights Nile River Cruise.  After boarding, enjoy the delicious 'welcome aboard' buffet lunch. In the afternoon, we sail to Kom Ombo. The rest of the day is at leisure in the cruise. Enjoy dinner on the cruise. Overnight on board the cruise. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3

Kom Ombo * Temple of Two Gods: Temple of Sobek and Temple of Horus * On to Edfu

    Today, sail into Kom Ombo, the home of Sobek, the crocodile God worshipped in pre-dynastic times. See the ancient remains of an unusually styled temple – 'Temple of Two Gods'. This temple was constructed during the Roman era and is noted for the engravings on the walls. First god is dedicated to the God of fertility – Sobek, and the second on overlooking the Nile is dedicated to the solar God, Great Horus.
After the city tour of Kom Ombo, we board the cruise and continue sail to Edfu town located on the west bank of the Nile river. Enjoy dinner on board the cruise. Overnight on board the cruise. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4

Edfu * Temple of Horus * Onto Esna and Luxor

After breakfast, take a horse carriage ride to visit the famous Edfu temple dedicated to God Horus, represented by the Falcon. This temple is one of the most beautiful Egyptian temples distinguished by its huge splendid structure that blends Pharoic and Greek architecture & the best-preserved temple in the whole of Egypt. One can witness many inscriptions in the Coptic language and paintings from that era. Next we sail to Esna and cross the Lock on the Nile. Later we sail to reach the magnificent town of Luxor at night. Enjoy dinner on board the cruise. Overnight on board the cruise. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5

Luxor * Valley of Kings * Temple of Hatshepsut * Fly to Cairo

This morning after breakfast, cross the west bank of the Nile River and we proceed on a guided tour of Luxor, the city of palaces. Here we visit the spectacular and owe-inspiring tombs in the Valley of Kings, the temple of Hatshepsut. Afterwards,  proceed to the Colossi of Memnon, which are the ruins of the tomb of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, who was the only queen who ruled Egypt. Later we proceed to visit Karnak and Luxor Temples. In the evening, we fly back to Cairo. On arrival transfer to your hotel and the evening is at leisure for you to enjoy this wonderful city on your own. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6

In Cairo * Giza Pyramids * Egyptian Museum of Antiquities * Shopping

This morning depart for your full day guided tour of this ancient capital city - Cairo. Visit the three Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx which are considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. On the west bank of the Nile river, facing Cairo, these three Pyramids rise on top of the Giza plateau, erected by Cheops, Chepren and Mycerinus, and guarded by the mysterious sphinx, a mythical statue with a body of a lion and a human head.

Visit one of the world’s greatest collections of Egyptian artifacts at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The museum houses the world’s most important collection of Egyptian antiquities from 2700 BC to the 6th century AD. There are thousands of statues, jewels and artifacts from nearly every period of ancient Egypt . Admire the amazing treasures of the young king, Tutenkhamun, including his famous mask made out of solid gold and in a perfect state of preservation. There are 12 rooms filled with treasures from King Tut’s tomb, which was discovered in 1922 virtually untouched.

Later you can shop at the Khan El Khalili market - Cairo’s most important shopping area for souvenirs – T Shirts and typical Egyptian artifacts. From there proceed to the Popyrus museum, to see how the famous Papyrus handmade paper is created and the beautiful paintings and stories painted on them. Later visit the Perfume factory, where they demonstrate the technique of perfume making. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7

Fly to India

After breakfast, Shop at the famous mall Carrefour. Later check out of your hotel and proceed to the airport for your flight back home. Today bid farewell to Egypt and your World Wide Holidays Land of the Pharaohs tour, which comes to an end, as you board your flight back home.
