Check in time at the Airport

International check in time is 03 hours prior to departure. All Passengers are requested to be report 03 hours to departure at the International Airport.
Please do not change your allotted seats in the flight, as you may not get indian vegetarian food which is specially ordered for you.

Take utmost care about original documents

Please take utmost care of your original documents such as passport including, valid visas, Airline Ticket, Travel insurance policy, currencies & travelers cheques.
Please carry a photocopy of your passport including, valid visas and keep them separately from the original, e.g. photocopy in the suitcase and the original passport in the pouch or your hand bag. Keep one set of Xerox copies of your passport, Air ticket, insurance copy etc at home before traveling.

Arriving In London

All passengers will be accompanied by the Worldwide Holidays Tour Manager & our local representative will be waiting outside the Baggage Hall at London Airport for ‘European Extravaganza’ tour.
We request you to wait until the whole group is together, since there is a possibility that co-passengers would be collecting the baggage, attending to their personal needs etc. Once we ensure that the whole group is together and then we provide you transfers from the airport to Hotel.

Time difference

Please note that there is time difference between India & Europe. Continental Europe is 3 ½ hours behind India time and UK is 4 ½ hours behind India time. For your family to call you from India, the ideal time would be morning -10.00 am India time, which will be early morning 06.30 am in Continental Europe & early morning 05.30 am in UK (London). Please inform your family to spell out your surname clearly and request that it is the Indian group of Worldwide Holidays – Europe Incoming. This will help your relatives to connect to you easily and reduces the cost of ISD calls.

Baggage

  1. Please note that you carry 01 pair of clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit without scissors and make up set for ladies, in your hand baggage. This is just as a precautionary measure, if your baggage is misplaced.
  2. Also, please do not keep CASH, DOLLARS, YOUR PASSPORTS, AIR TICKETS & GOLD JEWELLERY IN YOUR CHECK IN BAGGAGE. ALWAYS CARRY THOSE VALUABLE ITEMS IN YOUR HAND BAGGAGE. ONCE CHECKED INTO YOUR HOTEL YOU MAY DEPOSIT THE VALUABLES IN THE SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES PROVIDED BY THE HOTEL FREE OF COST.
  3. We recommend that you travel as light as possible as there is no porterage included on your tour and heavy luggage would cause you great inconvenience while on the tour. Please carry bags with wheels.
  4. Airlines allow the baggage weight of maximum of 20 kgs per person and 01 piece of cabin baggage, weighing not more than 05 kgs per person.
  5. Please take utmost care of your passports, Air tickets, currencies & belongings while on the tour, as most countries are prone to thefts.
  6. PLEASE DO NOT PUT IN YOUR HAND BAGS THE FOLLOWING ITEMS OR OBJECTS SUCH AS – SCISSORS, RAZORS, NAIL CUTTERS, SHAVING BLADE, SHAVING GEL, PERFUME BOTTLES, SMALL KNIVES FOR CUTTING FRUITS OR BIG KNIVES, SCREW DRIVER, PINS, NEEDLES AND ANY KIND OF SHARP OR CUTTING OBJECTS. Clothing

Warm clothes such as sweaters, hand gloves, monkey caps, jackets are essential. You may avoid carrying heavy woolens. But, you must carry a cap, sunglasses, a folding umbrella and comfortable walking shoes (canvas or track shoes). Please bring one pair of shoes, two pairs of socks, and 10 pairs of dresses.
In Vatican St. Peter’s church cap, sleeveless T-shirts, shorts, short skirts etc are not allowed.

Washing

Washing is expensive. Bring some soap powder to wash your undergarments and other daily usable cloths. Wash only where you stay for more days – London, Rome, Luzern & Paris. No need to bring shampoo, bath soap & towels for bathing. You may bring one mug for toilet purpose.

Punctuality – Very Critical

  1. The tour itinerary has been specially designed to get the maximum coverage during your holiday. For best experience, we require your cooperation in being punctual.
  2. All Sightseeing & excursions have been pre-booked for a particular duration and therefore, if the group is delayed, the delay will actually cost you of your own sightseeing time. Local guides have been pre-booked for a particular duration and cannot extend their services beyond the specified time-limits. Please do understand that punctuality is solely in your interest to ensure that you have full benefit of all services included in the package. Very often, the entire group may be delayed and may lose valuable time or opportunity due to a few people delaying the whole group.
  3. Due to the latest drivers’ driving regulations policy in Europe it is essential that the given days itinerary is completed within the stipulated driving hours of the driver. It is possible that if the group is delayed for some reason, the free time given at certain sightseeing places could be curtailed.
  4. During the tour, if the group is more than 10 minutes late the guides may leave, attractions may refuse the entrance and restaurants might refuse to serve. Please do understand that punctuality is very critical.

Your Coach

  1. We have carefully chosen an a/c coach for your comfort and convenience in Europe, since most of your traveling would be by coach.
  2. We however request you to assist us in keeping the coach neat and clean so that all of you can be comfortable during your holiday in Europe. Please do not eat foodstuff in the coach as there is a possibility of some leftover falling all over the coach.
  3. We regret that in the interest of fellow customers, smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages is not permitted on the coach.
  4. Please keep the coach clean, so please do not throw waste inside the coach. Please do not hold any other seats as reservation for other persons. It is important that you have to change seats from back to front to enjoy the whole tour with out any problem. You can sit anywhere in the coach and still you can have better view, as the bus will be a Hi-Tech coach.

Your Hotels

  1. Your hotels have been conveniently located and specifically chosen keeping in mind the tour programme, location and space availability. Utmost care is taken to ensure accommodation of good quality.
  2. Most hotel rooms are not air-conditioned, but on some days due to extreme rise in the temperature, there is a possibility that it could get hot. In some places even when there is an air conditioner, it does not function in case of extreme rise in temperature. No fans & table fans will be provided.
  3. Hotel rooms may have facilities like mini-bar, pay television channels, telephones, etc. please note that these facilities are not complimentary and have to be paid for, based on the actual usage. If you use these facilities you will have to pay before checking out and this may cause delay for departure. Before leaving the Hotel, please hand over room keys at the reception counter.
  4. Hotels sometimes offer the facility of complimentary safe deposit lockers, which can be availed of.
  5. Soap/Liquid soap will be available. If you keep towels on the floor they will change daily, otherwise you have to use the same towels or you will have to contact the house keeping or receptionist for exchange. Ask how to operate the Hotel room key, shower, sink tap etc.
  6. Please ensure that there are no damages done to your hotel room during your stay, since the same would be charged to you directly by the hotel.
  7. While checking into the hotels wait in the lobby or coach as advised by the tour Manager. Crowding near him would only delay the Check-in process.
  8. There is a remote possibility that you may have to stay in another city than what is mentioned, but care will be taken that you do not miss out on any sightseeing.
  9. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INTERNATIONAL CHECK IN TIME IS 03.00 PM & CHECK OUT TIME IS 10.00 AM IN EUROPE. EARLY CHECK IN TO YOUR HOTELS IS ALWAYS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF ROOMS. YOU ARE REQUESTED TO CO-OPERATE IN THIS MATTER.

Rooms

  1. We will try our best to provide you with adjacent rooms that have been asked for at the time of booking. The same will be subject to availability at the time of check-in. It is also difficult to provide interconnecting rooms. There is no guarantee for the same. However, the tour manager and the hotel will try their best to ensure that you are provided with adjacent rooms wherever possible.
  2. There is no system of providing drinking water in the rooms, normal tap water is safe for drinking all over Europe, except in Italy.

Meals & Water

  1. Buffet breakfasts as per the itinerary is included. Most meals are served in the comforts of your hotel and others in the finest Indian restaurants. Some days packed lunches are served during the tour.
  2. There is a choice of Indian vegetarian/non-vegetarian unlimited meals. The menus, however, are fixed in advance and a la carte is not possible. Most lunches and dinners are unlimited buffets, however it is requested that you do not waste food.
  3. All lunches served on the tour would be mostly vegetarian lunches, keeping in mind the traveling that is involved after lunch. But dinners are either vegetarian or non vegetarian depending meal preferences. Supplement for veg /non veg lunch is EURO 02.50 per person per meal.
  4. If there is an early morning departure to the airport a boxed breakfast may be provided.
  5. Water - Iced Tap water will be served during meals and any other drinks have to be paid / settled directly by the clients.

Currency Exchange

Since 1st January 2002, Euro currency has come into existence. You must carry Euros, Swiss Francs & UK pounds on your tour. To assist you with currency exchange, here are a few salient tips.

  1. The Euro currency on our tours is acceptable in 06 countries viz; Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy and France.
  2. The denominations of Euro are: Notes: 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, and 5.
  3. Coins: 02 Euro, 01 Euro and 50, 20, 10, 05, 02 and 01 cent.
  4. On your European Tour, you have to change money in Switzerland and United Kingdom, as the Euro is not the local currency in these countries. The currency in Switzerland is Swiss Franc and in UK is English pound.
  5. The approximate rate of exchange as of AUGUST 29 is:
  6. 01 Euro = INR 69 Approx
  7. 01 Swiss Franc = 45 Approx
  8. 01 UK Pound = 82 Approx
  9. Avoid changing money at the hotels since they offer a very poor rate of exchange.
  10. Change only as much money as you feel you would require in a country. Every time you change and re-change your currency, you pay an exchange service charge and currency fluctuations, which is sometimes as high as 7-10%.
  11. Use all loose coins and smaller denomination notes in the same country, as these cannot be exchanged for another country’s currency.
  12. If you are carrying Travellers Cheques, please keep the purchase receipt in a safer place, away from the original Travellers Cheques.
  13. Carry from India the currencies of each country you would be visiting on the tour, including smaller denominations.

Lido Show

In case you are opting for the Lido show in Paris, the amount for the same have to be paid on DAY 01 of the tour to the Tour Manager. Please note no credit cards will be accepted for the Lido show payment.

Tipping

Tipping in Europe unlike many parts of the world is something that is expected of anyone providing you a service, for example: Coach Driver, tour guide, tour manager etc. Since your coach driver spends a large part of the day driving you safely, loads and unloads your baggage onto the coach, it is mandatory to tip him a nominal amount of EURO 04 per person per day for the duration of the tour. Please do note that the coach driver, especially in Europe, plays a very important role in making your tour a memorable one. Public toilets are pay & use basis & toilet attendants need to be tipped nominally after use.

Essential items to be carried on tour

  1. Please carry sunglasses, alarm clock, an additional pair of spectacles if you are using one, umbrella, camera rolls, digital camera chips with a higher MB, extra batteries, chargers for digital camera and mobiles, medicines with prescriptions if required with the drug generic name listed as the brand name would differ from country to country. In case you are carrying your mobile, also carry a multi-plug adapter as sockets are not the same for Europe and UK.
  2. Your original insurance copy.
  3. There is no hot water kettle provided in most hotels and the same needs to be carried by you along with tea bags, sugar etc. in case you wish to make tea / coffee in the room. However utmost care should be taken to ensure that no damages occur to the hotel property.
